Applicant Frequent Questions

Frequent Questions

Applicants

  1. How long is the waitlist for your rental units?

The waitlist for units varies depending on the property, whether there are currently any vacant units and how many people are already on the waitlist. Unfortunately, we cannot predict when someone will move out and a unit will become available, therefore we encourage those interested to fill out an application and get on the waitlist as soon as possible.

  2. What is my rent going to be?

The amount of your rent will depend on a number of factors including what property you are renting, your income, and assets and whether you qualify for any deductions.

  3. Do you accept housing vouchers?

Yes! We accept housing vouchers at all of our properties. If you currently have a voucher or are working to get a voucher, please notify the office so we can coordinate with the housing authority or other entity providing the voucher.

  4. Why do I have to provide so much information on the application?

Our properties are funded by the federal government, and we’re required to make sure that anyone receiving reduced or subsidized rent is eligible. Each funding source has its own rules that applicants must meet. That’s why we ask for all necessary information at the beginning of the application process—to confirm eligibility.

  5. When will I know if I am approved or when I can move-in?

The application process requires us to verify all the information you provide. The time it takes to receive these verifications can vary depending on the source. To help speed up the process, please make sure your application is fully completed and stay in contact with us throughout the process.
