Jewel City 1 Apartments was awarded $2,463,800 in HOME Partnership Funds and $2,298,600 in Housing Incentive Funds through the North Dakota Housing Finance Agency for a substantial rehabilitation. The rehab project completed construction in April 2025. Renovations on the property included environmental mitigation, updates to mechanical and electrical systems. New paint, flooring, appliances, cabinetry and doors. A new parking lot, installation of security system with key fob entry, new windows and installation of mini split air conditioners. In addition, one unit was converted to full handicap accessibility.
