Tenants Frequent Questions

Frequent Questions

Tenants

  1. Can I switch units?

Transfers to a different unit may be possible, but several factors can affect approval—such as the reason for the request, unit availability, waitlist status, and your rental history. We recommend reaching out to our office so we can review the process with you and assess eligibility based on your individual circumstances.

  2. Can I add someone to my lease?

Adding someone to a lease depends on a few factors, including eligibility and approval requirements. We recommend contacting our office so we can walk you through the process and let you know what's needed in your specific situation.

  3. What do I do if my income changes?

Changes in income may affect the amount of rent you pay. It is important you notify our office in the event your income either increases or decreases.

  4. Why do you ask for so much information every year?

Our properties are funded by the federal government, and we’re required to make sure that anyone receiving reduced or subsidized rent meets the eligibility requirements. Each funding source has its own rules that applicants and tenants must meet. Each year we must continue to verify your eligibility for the program.

  5. Can I pay my rent online?

Yes! Through RentCafe you can make a one-time payment or set-up automatic payments. You must have an account in order to pay your rent or submit a maintenance request through RentCafe. Please contact our office for assistance if you do not already have an account set-up.
